Women Explain...to Me is a podcast where women explain their fields of expertise, their life experiences, their interests, and whatever else they want to discuss. Several years ago I read a tremendous article by Kristin Iversen for Nylon magazine entitled Men Explain Fiona Apple to Me and it inspired me to begin a podcast where that title is flipped and women explain topics to me (the full story is in our very first episode).

Realizing both that between my career in academia and my various life experiences I knew so many women who were experts in all sorts of fields and that the podcasting space is (to be generous) 'well-stocked' with men's voices and might benefit from hearing more from women, I started Women Explain...to Me. I hope you enjoy it and my guests enrich your understanding of the world at the same time they enrich mine.
